No. The free offline version works without an account and without signing in. You can simply start; all data stays local on your device.

PetiForm is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and runs directly in the browser, as well as an app for Android and iOS. Installation is not required; the PWA can also be added to the home screen and works offline.

Yes. PetiForm is designed offline-first: creating petitions, collecting signatures and generating the PDF works completely without internet, at a booth, at the doorstep or in a dead zone. There are no hidden network requests.

No, not in the free offline version. Captured signatures stay on the device and leave it only as protected PDF pages generated by that device. Online sync is an optional, bookable feature on higher tiers; nothing is uploaded secretly.

Through data minimization: for each petition type, only the permitted fields are collected, and strict types enforce a minimal data set. Consent is logged with text and timestamp, and for each field you can decide whether it appears on the PDF or publicly. By default, nothing is public; for sensitive fields such as an email address, the app warns you before you show it publicly.

Sharing transfers only the petition itself, never the captured personal data. This lets your team collect together on multiple devices without passing signatures around.

No. PetiForm does not check identities and does not send confirmation emails. Data quality is supported by duplicate protection (duplicate entries are detected while they are captured), required-field validation and logged consent.

PetiForm provides formally structured templates with the matching required fields and correct list header, but it cannot guarantee official recognition. Whether a list is accepted depends on the respective petition type and the applicable rules; responsibility remains with the person or initiative running the petition.

Yes. The petition can be shared with additional devices via QR code, so several people can collect signatures at the same time. Only the petition is shared, without personal data. Larger contents are automatically split across several QR codes.

PetiForm includes 11 bundled templates, including citizens' initiatives, Bundestag petitions, state parliament petitions, popular petitions/popular initiatives, residents' motions, European Citizens' Initiatives, schools and online campaigns. There is also a template builder for custom templates, for example for a club; the free tier includes up to 3 custom templates.

Yes. PetiForm offers backup and restore for petitions, templates and settings. Captured signatures are deliberately not included in backups; without online sync, they leave the device only as protected PDF pages generated by the device.

With one tap, PetiForm creates a print-ready signature list with the formally correct list header from the selected template. You can also generate a blank sheet for printing and laying out when people prefer signing on paper.

Yes. Local statistics show the signature trend, progress toward the quorum and a projection to the deadline, calculated entirely on the device, without a server. And when you reach your goal, there is confetti.

Only for online sync and scaling. Offline is unlimited on every tier; you pay only for the additional online capacity. Guiding principle: You pay for the campaign, not the calendar. Note: The amounts are preliminary and payment is not active yet.

There are four tiers: Free & offline (0 €, forever). Offline Pro as a subscription for 2.69 €/month (annual billing −20 %, around 25.82 €/year) removes all local limits. The Campaign license is a one-time purchase per campaign with a 12-month term and online sync via EU servers: Start 5 devices / 10,000 entries = 79 €, Plus 20 / 50,000 = 249 €, Pro 50 / 250,000 = 690 €. Organization is available on request. Amounts preliminary, payment not active yet.

Both are possible. Offline Pro is a subscription (2.69 €/month) that removes all local limits. The Campaign license is a one-time purchase per campaign with a 12-month term and online sync; you are buying for one specific campaign, not a permanent monthly subscription.

The Campaign license runs for 12 months. After expiry, you have 30 days to export your data; after that, it is archived or deleted. Online limits are capacity without a periodic reset; signatures accumulate because they add up over time.

Yes. The "Organization" tier is aimed at NGOs, associations and political parties, from around 1 million entries or 100+ devices, with support and SLA. It is available on request and offers a dedicated EU server location or self-hosting.

Yes, on the "Organization" tier. Instead of the EU server location, PetiForm can be run via Docker image on your own infrastructure, with full data sovereignty and a 20 % self-hosting discount. Like all paid tiers, self-hosting is currently a preview and not yet bookable.

Online sync is planned and not active yet. The intended setup is: for online sync with the Campaign license, data are stored on servers in the EU (Germany). For organizations, an additional dedicated server location in the EU or self-hosting via Docker is possible.
